We’re so excited that ‘Shadow of Innocence’, a film by some of our 2015 NZ Film Academy Alumni has been selected to be a part of the SoCal Clips Indie Film Fest (SoCalCIFF) in Los Angeles, California!
The SoCalCIFF is for independent filmmakers to showcase original short films emphasizing a creative and innovative production.
In its short history, the annual SoCal Ciff has quickly become a premier spotlight for independent filmmakers to showcase original short films emphasizing a creative and innovative production within a $10,000 budget limitation.
The spirit of the event highlights the positive talent, story, reciprocity and imagination brought forth by the independent film community by featuring short films – received globally – categorized within the Comedy, Drama, Music Video, Horror, Animation, Teen, Documentary, Web Series, Experimental and Sci-Fi.
If Selected to screen at the SoCal CIFF you become a life long member of their growing community. The Festival creates lasting connections through cinema. They believe cinema and great storytelling can change the world and make us all grow as a whole. Chosen films inspire conversations, entertain, and make you think.

NZ Film Academy is so proud of our talented students for chasing and achieving this opportunity. Film is and incredible industry to be in, especially in New Zealand and it can lead to so many amazing opportunities here and around the globe. Our students learn from and collaborate with real industry filmmakers allowing them to create strong network connections and push themselves to think and create beyond their comfort zone.

The SoCal Clips Indie Film Fest will be held in The Historic Raleigh Studios in the heart of Hollywood from the 12th-14th of August this year.
