The NZ Film Academy is set up to closely mirror a small
production house within the constraints of a learning environment.
The equipment base is reflective of this and a large inventory of support gear and facilities are available to students. The following is an overview.

There are dedicated edit suites and training rooms, a shooting space, a production projects room, a well resourced shared student common room and ablutions block is also available.

|
PC based work stations for project design, scripting and research and development. Internet connected for emailing and web access.
|
|
|
|
|
Shooting is primarily on Sony Z1P HDV and DSR 250 DVCAM cameras with additional Panasonic DVC 200 cameras. Manfrotto tripods are standard.
Audio capture is with Sennheiser lapel and M66 shot gun mics.
Lighting is serviced by a standard array of tungsten 500 - 2000 w open faced lights and stands.
